About Our DC Therapy Practice

Shift Happens Collective is a psychotherapy practice based in the D.C. Metro Area providing support in-person or via Telehealth sessions. We serve clients in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Oregon.

Our Vision

At Shift Happens Collective, our mission is to meet you where you are—with honesty, compassion, and zero toxic positivity.

We don’t believe you need to be “fixed.” Instead, we help you make sense of your story, your relationships, and the cultural and systemic forces shaping your life.

Our goal? To create space for you to heal, grow, and connect more authentically—with yourself, your loved ones, and your community.

Our Therapy Team

We’re a collective of therapists who believe therapy should be human, not clinical. That means we laugh, we challenge, we listen deeply—and we bring our whole selves into the room with you.

Our team shares a commitment to inclusive, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed care. While each of us brings our own perspective and training, we’re united by one core belief: healing happens when you are connected to yourself.

Based in Dupont Circle, we offer both in-person and telehealth therapy for clients across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Oregon.

Our Work

“Work” doesn’t mean fixing what’s broken. It means shifting what no longer serves you.

Sometimes that’s a relationship. Sometimes it’s a pattern. Sometimes it’s the story you’ve been told about yourself.

Our work together is about:

  • Collaboration: Therapy is something we do with you, not to you.

  • Context: We honor culture, identity, and systemic realities that shape your experience.

  • Curiosity: We believe self-understanding, not shame, opens the door to change.

  • Authenticity: Humor, honesty, and real connection are part of the process.

Whether you’re exploring individual therapy, relationship work, or group support, we’re here to help you shift the way forward.
